Virginia College Tampa volunteers set up a table full of goodies to hand out and was also equipped with sign in sheets for those interested in employment as well as those who wanted to explore an education. The Virginia College group welcomed Tampa Bay Lightning cheerleaders for photo opportunities.
General Manager Glenn Robinson said, "The annual 5K walk/run was a great opportunity for our employees, family and friends to reach out to our community. Every day 40 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, a disease that makes the very act of growing up life threatening. Virginia College is proud to support our community and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in their efforts to find a cure. "
