CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --Virginia College School of Business and Health in Chattanooga has renewed an advertising agreement with the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) that provides free citywide transportation for current Virginia College students and staff with valid school identification. Transportation services and the first wrapped CARTA bus were introduced last March, and a second wrapped bus will be introduced to the media Tuesday, April 13th from 10:00 a.m. -- noon.

"This partnership exemplifies our efforts to make education affordable and easy for our students," says Campus President Jack Clark. "This service not only benefits our students, it helps our impact on the environment and also spreads the word about our school. We look forward to another strong year with CARTA."

According to CARTA, Virginia College School of Business and Health students have made almost 24,885 trips on their buses since the inception of the partnership. Based on CARTA's one-way bus fare of $1.50, this number indicates a total savings of $37.327.50 for students riding the bus. The partnership allows all currently enrolled students unlimited transportation on all bus routes, not just the route that serves the school's campus.
