High School Golf Team Visits Golf Academy of America Campus Near San Diego

Posted: Monday, March 29, 2010

Carlsbad, CA --The Golf Academy of America recently hosted a high school golf team at the new campus location of the school near San Diego, California. The Serra Senior High School varsity golf team experienced a day of professional instruction and club fitting. Steve Kaese, Head of Instruction at the campus, led his team of 4th semester students in providing instruction to each varsity player. They had instructional sessions in areas of the full swing, putting, and chipping as well as club fitting.

"These kids needed something like this. This day is a chance of a life time for them and we thank you so much for this opportunity," said Serra head coach Kent Tartt. Kellen Tallada, the new admissions field representative at Golf Academy/San Diego, has been contacting all the San Diego high schools for this unique experience. The goal for these high school golf teams is to expose them to a golf career that they may not have imagined possible as well as to provide the hands-on experience for the 4th semester students who have been taking classes in golf instruction. This visit from the high school varsity golf team is the first of many other team visits and will continue throughout the year.
