Virginia College in Birmingham Nursing Students Attend Conference

Sixty-eight nursing students from Virginia College's Birmingham, Alabama, campus, accompanied by staff members, recently attended the Elizabeth A. Morris Clinical Education Sessions -- FACES '10' in Montgomery, Alabama. Among those attending the conference in addition to the students were Nursing Program Director Stephanie Mitchell and Nursing faculty members Melody Segars and Kathryn Jackson. FACES is an annual conference sponsored by the Alabama State Nurses' Association. The participants were able to select from a variety of educational topics. Registered Nurses licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing are required to obtain a minimum of 24 continuing education units for each licensing period. Students and faculty from several schools of nursing across Alabama were in attendance at this conference.
