Two students who are enrolled in the Paralegal Studies program at Virginia College have received national recognition as recipients of the Delmar-Cengage Legal Studies Award. Both women are completing their studies online. They receive not only a certificate but also their choice of a book relating to their field, such a legal dictionary or thesaurus.
The award is designed to recognize the best in legal education and goes to those students who best exemplify the overall philosophy and scholastic accomplishment of a school's paralegal program. Only two students can be recognized at any individual institution.
Dr. Laura Alfano, Program Director, Legal Studies for Virginia College's online programs, says, "We are proud of the hard work and initiative demonstrated by these two students. It is truly wonderful when deserving students receive recognition for what they have accomplished, but Amanda and Lindsay are typical of the caliber of students we have here at Virginia College."
