TestOut Corp., a provider of online labs for certification training, today announced that executive Trent Howell would be presenting at the 15th Annual Sloan-C Conference on Online Learning. The presentation - "LabSim Online Labs Help Students Reach Online Learning and Career Goals" - will take place October 30 at 8 a.m. in Sierra I.
In his presentation, Howell will describe how LabSim online labs enable students to virtually experience all of the functionality of the technology they are learning without the $30,000 physical lab. He'll also demonstrate how criminal justice students can learn crime scene investigation techniques and procedures without ever visiting a real crime scene.
Thomas Whitlock of Virginia College's Online Division, a TestOut client, will speak after Howell on "Hands-on Experience for Online Learners: Virginia College Succeeds with Interactive Online Labs." At 8:45 in Sierra F, Whitlock will share how his school has successfully used interactive, online lab exercises where students gain experience and instructors can see the scored results.
