Posted: Friday, July 23, 2010

Stacie Farr, Academic Coordinator for Virginia College in Augusta, recently published her first book, "Black Girl in America. " The book's publisher describes Stacie's memoir as "a personal journey through triumphs and failures, love and heartbreak, incredible opportunities and the resilience of the human heart to hope against hope."
The VC Augusta library will have two copies for students to check out in the coming weeks. "I am very excited about this huge accomplishment," Stacie said, "and hope the book will encourage our students to continue rising above their challenges and achieve their goals."
