Pensacola Campus of Virginia College Holds Employee Appreciation Ceremony

An Employee Appreciation Ceremony was held at the Pensacola, Florida, campus of Virginia College recently, as a final project by Temetrius Burton's Personnel Management class. The students presented a slide show of staff and faculty members who had made a difference in their lives. The class wanted to emphasize the focus on communication, teamwork, encouragement, motivation and professionalism, as they have witnessed throughout the Pensacola campus.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to Dr. Sara Lawhorne, Campus President; Katheryn Fox, Academic Dean; Ray Etters, Academic Coordinator; Gay Robertson, Program Director, Allied Health; Susan Phillips, Registrar; Donecia Griffin, Associate Registrar; Chris Barge, Financial Planning Officer-Lead; Evelyn Gant, Instructor, Online Coordinator; Patsy Fillingim, Program Director, General Education; Michelle Sims, Director, Career Services; Marianne Falacienski, Career Services Associate; Lawrence Powell, Student Services Associate; and Jim Greenawalt, Security.
The refreshment tables were elegantly set with beautiful decorations and linen tablecloths. The students who presented the certificates gave personalized speeches emphasizing how the staff and faculty recipients exhibited teamwork, encouragement, communication, motivation, and professionalism.
