Chris Freeman, the VP for Academic Affairs for Virginia College's online programs, recently visited Guatemala as part of a mission trip there. Along with his daughters, Freeman delivered books for a library, the only one in a large area of Guatemala City. The Academic Affairs team for the school's online programs contributed Spanish books for the library. The school also partnered with the textbook publisher Pearson, who made significant contributions to the effort.
"In all, we took about 300 pounds of books to the kids there in Guatemala City," Freeman reported. "We really appreciate everyone at Virginia College who helped and the good folks at Pearson for their participation."
