Austin Virginia College Surgical Tech Program Receives Award From National Organization

The Surgical Technology program at Virginia College in Austin, Texas, was recently awarded a Galaxy Star Award by the Association of Surgical Technologists. The award signifies that the school's program has "gone beyond the standards in promoting the surgical technology profession," according to a release from the organization.
"We are pleased with this recognition for our program," says Virginia College at Austin campus president Harvey Giblin. "Our employers know how great our surgical technology graduates are, but it is always gratifying to get recognition for our staff, faculty and students from an organization such as this."
