Virginia College Success Story: Brandon Ainsworth

Brandon is a Network Engineering student at the Jackson, Mississippi, campus of Virginia College. As anyone could surmise from his stance in the photo, he is also a former Marine. Even though he is still a month away from completing his second quarter at Virginia College, he has already gained one of the key certifications for those who want to pursue a career in network engineering. He recently completed requirements for his A+ certification.
But that's not all. Brandon received a perfect score on his first certification exam.
"It is extremely rare for someone to have a perfect score on these types of exams," says Networking Program Director Don Cockroft. "Just achieving the A+ certification this early in his studies is unusual, but if you know Brandon, you are not surprised. He is a great role model for others who want to start their road to success at Virginia College."
Network Engineering is offered at Virginia College campuses in Jackson, Mississippi, Birmingham, Alabama, and Huntsville, Alabama. Virginia College Online offers via the Internet bachelor degree programs in Network Management and Management Information Systems and a masters degree program in Cybersecurity.
