Student Services

Student Services

At Virginia College, we have one important mission: Offering associate degrees, diploma programs, baccalaureate degrees, and master's degrees that help strengthen our students’ ability to enter or maintain a chosen career.

As you prepare to enter the job market or improve your chances of advancement by taking online college courses, we want to create an environment that is welcoming, supportive and stimulating. With self discipline, persistence and motivation, you’ll be on the path to success, and our Student Services Associates will be right there, encouraging you and answering any questions you have along the way.

Admissions

Your Virginia College Enrollment Specialist is ready to help guide you through the admission and enrollment process from start to finish. Not sure which program is right for you or where to begin? We can work with you and give you the information you need to make informed decisions about your career and your future.

We want you to be successful. Our associates are only a phone call or an email away, and we look forward to answering tough questions. Everything we do is focused on our students, helping you choose a career, get ahead, and change your life.

Financial Aid

Once you enroll in a Virginia College online program, a Financial Planner will walk through the Financial Aid process with you, step by step. He or she will explain your financial aid options, which include scholarships, Pell grants and student loans for those who qualify. In addition, the planner can help you complete your application and all of the related paperwork online. Our goal is to help you pay for your education and graduate with the smallest financial obligation possible.

You can contact your Financial Planner at any time as you complete your degree program. Whether you have a simple question or a complex issue, we’re here to help. For more information, complete and submit the Request More Information form.

Career Services

While Virginia College does not guarantee placement following graduation, our Career Services associates can help you with the following steps in preparation for the job search:

  • Reviewing your resume
  • Assisting in interviewing techniques
  • Counseling for career choice
  • Providing help in career/job-market research
  • Marketing your skills
  • Generating job leads

We will make every reasonable effort to help you secure employment in your field of study. Please keep in mind that finding a position after graduation depends heavily on your completion of courses and your academic records.
